FAQ
Do I have to wear pink and/or yellow?
Yes, at least 1 major piece. Other colors are fine, but we want a strong, unified look.
Do I have to be “fashion-forward” to join?
Not at all. Whether you’re in custom couture or your favorite thrifted tee (as long as it’s in the theme colors), you belong. Style is self-expression, not a price tag.
What’s the walk like?
About 20 - 25 min, casual pace. Choose shoes for comfort; grass-friendly footwear is best.
Can photographers bring pro cameras?
Only at the South Garden & during walk to Pavilion. No pro gear is allowed inside the Pavilion or on the Great Lawn.
Can I bring food or drinks?
Food & NON-alcoholic drinks are welcome. No outside alcohol. Bags/coolers must be under 26” × 15” × 15”.
What else is not allowed at the Pavilion?
Smoking, large umbrellas, tents, staking. For the complete list of park rules, visit: Millennium Park Visitor Guidelines
Is the event free?
Yes, this is a free community event. If you’d like to support future Flashion Walks, you can make a contribution via https://venmo.com/u/aalanes. Your support helps cover event materials and other community-building activities.
What happens after the walk?
We’ll arrive at the Chicago House Music Festival at the Pavilion. You’re welcome to stay and enjoy the music with us - picnic style! There are no chairs at our group’s location, I will have 4 extra picnic blankets jic, but you’re also welcome to bring your own blanket if you plan to stay for the fun!
